講義�@「The Japanese Image in American Film」
　　　　　リチャード Ａ. ローガン（文教大学）

　How do American movies portray Japan and the Japanese people?
　We will see that there are a number of stereotyped images which have appeared in American movies over the last one hundred years.


講義�A「A Learners View of Learning Language」
　　　　　Carl Adams（東京国際大学）

　What do we know about learning languages that can help beginners learn a foreign language? This experiential workshop will explore language learning from the learner's perspective...inside out. Participants will learn directly how to listen, read and speak a new language through actions, words and collaborative learning.
　Elements of Silent Way, Total Physical Response and the Communicative Approach will foster learning experiences that bring to life a new perspective of language teaching.
　Be prepared to learn actively from this challenging and dynamic approach to language learning. Hopefully everyone will gain a deeper appreciation of the mysterious creative powers for learning found lurking within each of us. Guaranteed to keep each attendee awake!


講義�B「英語の先生方に知っておいていただきたいことばの性質」

　今回の講義では３つの点にしぼってお話したいと思います。
１　ことばには個別性と普遍性の両面がある。
２　ことばの仕組みの抽象的な（聞こえない、見えない）部分がことばを使う上で重要な役割を果たしている。
３　効果的な「コミュニケーション」を実現するためには２でいう「抽象的な 部分」をきちんと認識し、活用する必要がある。
