Faculty of Education/

Cultivating the hearts of future educators and their teaching techniques

The Faculty of Education was established in 1969 to help students aiming to work in teaching fields, making Bunkyo University the first private university in Japan to offer specialized courses for teacher training. Over 50 years since its establishment, the Faculty has produced more than 11,000 professionals teaching in elementary schools, junior high schools, senior high schools and special education schools across Japan. With the excellent achievements shown by its graduates in educational institutions across the nation, the Faculty of Education has won high acclaim from various communities as a distinguished training institution for teachers. In the 2020 academic year, the faculty opened a course, "Human Develpoment and Education Course" to help students to become teachers specializing in child psychology ranging from infants to youth. We provide students with an educational environment in which their hearts as educators are cultivated, teaching techniques sharpened, and dreams of becoming teachers for kindergartens, nursery schools, elementary schools, junior high schools, senior high schools and special education schools are realized.
