Workshop for Project B 2024
From February 11th to February 28th 2025, six students from the Foreign Languages and Literature department traveled to Naga City, Philippines to participate in the second annual “B Project”. For over two weeks, students collaborated with ‘buddies’ from the Ateneo de Naga University performing service work and cross-cultural exchange. Preparation for the B Project began in September 2024 when students contacted ADNU buddies online. Exposure to the Philippines began with fifteen weeks of communicating with buddies online. This class acuminated with meeting their internet friends in person in Naga city. Bunkyo students stayed at a Filipino home together where they experienced Filipino cuisine. During the day, they traveled with buddies by jeepney, van, and motorbike around the city to teach elementary children Japanese calligraphy at two elementary schools and plant mangrove and evergreen trees at nature reserves. Of course, there was also time for shopping and recreation such as skiing and a trip to a local waterfall. There was not a dry eye when the two groups parted.





フィリピンでのプロジェクトB体験記
2025年2月、外国語学科の学生6名がフィリピンのナガ市で、多様な経験と温かい交流に満ちた特別な2週間を過ごしました。
秋学期の9月からオンラインで15週間やり取りしていたアテネオ・デ・ナガ大学の「バディ」（同年齢の友達）とついに対面！フィリピンの家庭でホームステイしながら、現地の美味しい料理を毎日堪能。
ジープニーや4人乗りのバイクで街を駆け回り、小学校で書道を教えたり、マングローブを植えたり。もちろんショッピングも満喫！
そして別れの時…抱き合って涙を流す学生たち。言葉を超えた友情がそこにありました。
