湘南総合研究所(湘南総研)は、文教大学湘南キャンパスを拠点に、「湘南」という地域の特性と密接に結びついた多彩な活動を展開しています。
生涯学習の推進
設立以来、湘南総合研究所は湘南地域における生涯学習の拠点として、数多くの公開講座を企画・開催してきました。地域の方々が学び合い、交流できる場を提供することは、私たちの重要な使命のひとつです。
地域との連携
地域連携活動にも積極的に取り組んでいます。茅ヶ崎市や茅ヶ崎青年会議所と協定を結び、無作為抽出によって選ばれた市民が参加する「討議会」を開催。熟議制民主主義の実践を通じて、市民の声を地域社会に活かしています。
研究とネットワークづくり
湘南総合研究所では研究員を公募し、地域研究や地域振興につながるプロジェクトを推進しています。地方自治体、企業、市民活動など多様な主体との「ネットワーク」において、大学側の窓口としての役割を担い、研究・事業・イベントを共に企画・実施することで、地域社会の発展に寄与しています。
The Shonan Research Institute is based at Bunkyo University’s Shonan Campus and is deeply engaged in a wide range of activities closely connected to the unique character of the Shonan region.
Promoting Lifelong Learning
Since its establishment, the institute has served as a hub for lifelong learning in Shonan, organizing numerous public lectures and programs. Providing opportunities for local residents to learn and connect with each other is one of our core missions.
Community Collaboration
We actively collaborate with local communities. In partnership with the City of Chigasaki and the Chigasaki Junior Chamber, the institute hosts citizen deliberative forums, where participants selected by random sampling engage in discussions. Through this practice of deliberative democracy, citizens’ voices are directly reflected in regional development.
Research and Networking
The institute recruits research fellows to promote projects that contribute to regional studies and community revitalization. Acting as a key point of contact between the university and society, we build networks with local governments, businesses, and civic organizations. Through these partnerships, we plan and carry out diverse research initiatives, projects, and events that foster the sustainable development of the region.
